Privacy Policy

Chaze Digital · Last updated 19 October 2026

This policy explains how Chaze Digital collects, uses, stores and shares personal information, and how you can access or correct yours. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

1.Who we are

Chaze Digital ([LEGAL ENTITY NAME], NZBN [NUMBER]) is a digital marketing agency based in New Zealand. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Chaze Digital, and "you" means anyone whose personal information we hold, including website visitors, enquirers, clients and their customers.

2.Information we collect

We collect only the information we need for our business. This may include:

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, business name and role.
  • Enquiry and booking details — what you tell us in forms, calendar bookings, emails, calls and messages.
  • Client account details — billing information, and the access details for ad, social, website and CRM accounts you give us to deliver our services.
  • Website and ad data — IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and how you interact with our site and ads (see section 5).

We usually collect this information directly from you. We may also receive it from advertising platforms, such as when you submit a Meta lead form, or from people who refer you to us.

3.How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries, book calls and prepare proposals.
  • To deliver, manage and report on our services.
  • To send invoices and manage payments.
  • To improve our website, services and advertising.
  • To send you marketing updates, where you have agreed (see section 9).
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as tax record-keeping.

We will not use your information for a purpose unrelated to why we collected it without your consent, unless the law allows it.

4.Data we handle for our clients

When we run campaigns, funnels or CRM systems for a client, we may collect and process personal information about that client's leads and customers. In that case:

  • We hold the information on behalf of our client, who remains responsible for it under the Privacy Act 2020.
  • We use it only to deliver the services our client has engaged us for, and never for our own marketing.
  • If you want to access, correct or delete information a business collected through one of our campaigns, please contact that business first. We will help them respond.

5.Cookies and tracking

Our website and funnels use cookies and similar tools to work properly and to measure and improve our marketing. These may include:

  • Essential cookies that keep forms and pages working.
  • Analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, that show how visitors use our site.
  • Advertising pixels, such as the Meta Pixel, that measure ad results and help show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also manage ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram and Google account settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if cookies are blocked.

6.Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as GoHighLevel (CRM, forms and messaging), Meta and Google (advertising and analytics), our accounting software and email providers.
  • Contractors who help deliver our services, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer.
  • Authorities, where the law requires or allows it.

7.Storage and overseas transfer

Some of our service providers store data outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Australia. When information is sent overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected by safeguards comparable to those in the Privacy Act 2020, such as by using providers with strong security and privacy commitments.

8.Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include secure passwords, two-factor authentication on key accounts, and limiting access to people who need it.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as the law requires. Financial records are kept for 7 years for tax purposes. Other information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

If a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required by law.

9.Marketing messages

We send marketing emails and text messages only with your consent, in line with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. Every message tells you who it is from and how to opt out. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, by replying STOP to our texts, or by contacting us.

10.Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and get access to it.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need.

To make a request, contact us using the details in section 12. We will respond within 20 working days. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing information.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.

12.Contact and complaints

If you have a question, request or complaint about privacy, please contact our Privacy Officer. We will try to resolve it quickly and fairly.
